Delicious Superfood Salad

I just made up this delicious vegan super food salad that is high in essential fatty acids and too good not to share. The measurements are  approximate so feel free to add or subtract. This made a big salad bowl for one and is filling enough to have as a meal. Great for anyone on a Paleo diet who wants a break from meat.

A handful of kale without stems, roughly chopped
A big handful of spinach
About 6-8 cherry tomatoes chopped in half
One cooked beetroot (I used a vacuum packed one not cooked in vinegar) cubed

With 2.3 million acupuncture treatments carried out each year, traditional acupuncture is one of the most popular complementary therapies practised in the UK today. Even so, many people only discover traditional acupuncture as a last resort despite its widely recognised health benefits.

During this week Body Holistic will be offering20% off first consultationsbooked or taken with Rosalie during this week to encourage you to experience the widespread health benefits of Acupuncture for yourself.

Open evening at our clinic

Sutherland House Natural Health Centre at 1a Ashbourne Avenue Temple Fortune NW11 has been completely refurbished and tonight I will be attending their new opening celebration. The clinic is a centre of true excellence with a team of highly experienced practitioners including physiotherapists, osteopaths, a herbalist, myself practising Acupuncture and Alexander Technique and more. The rooms have been very tastefully updated and I am really enjoying working there.

Alexander Technique Open Morning report

I opened my clinic last week to people in my local area as part of International Alexander Awareness Week. We had a small, very friendly, interested group of local people wanting to find out more about how Alexander Technique works and how it could help them. What seemed to be a common theme was chronic and acute pain. One person had extremely acute lower back pain, another had badly injured his upper back lifting weights, another had chronic lower back pain, another had chronic knee problems etc.

Alexander Technique Open Morning

As part of International Alexander Awareness week (6th-12th October 2014) I am going to be holding an open day at my Edgware clinic on Tuesday 7th October. This will be a great opportunity to come and meet me, get some hands-on experience of how the technique can help you improve your body-use and reduce stress and tension. I have put together an exciting program with something for everyone. Cost is only £5 for any or all of the event. To book, call me so I know you're coming. I will confirm the address and book in your taster session.

Stress: focus of Alexander Awareness Week 6-12th October 2014

Many of us will have experienced first-hand the damaging effects of stress such as anxiety, depression, disturbed sleep, IBS, shoulder tension and headaches. In fact the latest estimates from the Labour Force Survey (LFS) showed that stress accounted for 40% of all work-related illnesses (

But help is at hand through learning the Alexander Technique. The technique is normally taught one to one, using a combination of hands-on guidance and verbal instruction to enable the student to become aware of and learn to prevent and release long-standing harmful tension habits.
